岩絵具をひとつひとつ膠で溶き、色を重ねる—— 日本画は、一枚の作品が生まれるまでに、多くの手間と時間を必要とする絵画です。
私は、自分の中にある世界を表現するための手段として、日本画を描いています。 その制作を軸に、画材や技法の研究、絵画教室での指導、制作過程の記録と公開にも取り組んでいます。
こうした日々の積み重ねは、どれもすぐに形ある成果につながるとは限りません。 それでも、日本画という表現を通して、自身の描きたいものを少しずつ形にしていくこと。 その歩みを、これからも静かに続けていきたいと思っています。

Kneading mineral pigments with nikawa (hide glue) by hand and layering colors onto washi paper—Nihonga, traditional Japanese painting, is an art form that requires time, care, and dedication before a single work comes to life.
I paint as a way to express my inner world through the medium of Nihonga. Alongside creating my artworks, I continue to research materials and techniques, teach painting classes, and document and share my creative process.
Not all of this ongoing work leads to immediate or visible results. Even so, I wish to keep giving form to my artistic vision through Nihonga and quietly continue this path over time.
